Compare candidates
Nobody has one name. Add the two or three you are actually choosing between and see the same checks side by side — including the row that reads identically for all of them, which is usually the row that decides it.
Why there is no winner
Every comparison tool wants to crown something. This one will not, and the reason is visible in the table: the trademark row says judgment for every candidate, because it has to. Any ranking here would therefore be built from the mechanical rows alone — domain availability, spelling, length — and presenting that as a recommendation would tell you the cheap constraint is the important one. It is the other way round.
Use the table for what it is good at: seeing where candidates genuinely differ. Two names that look equally good in your head are often two rows apart here, and the row that separates them is rarely the one you were thinking about.
Take the two or three that survive this table and run the real work on them: search the registers properly, then work down the checklist. Names die at every stage, and the survivor is frequently not the favourite you started with — which is the entire argument for starting with more than one.
Questions
Where are my candidates stored?
In this browser's local storage, on this device. They are never transmitted to us, are not readable by any other site, and do not follow you to another machine. Clearing your browser data removes them, and so does the Remove all button. If you declined storage on the notice, nothing is kept at all and the list empties when you leave.
Can I compare more than six?
No, deliberately. Past about six the table stops being a comparison and starts being a spreadsheet you scroll, and a shortlist that long usually means the real filtering has not happened yet. Remove one to add another.
Why does one candidate show “unknown” for domains?
Because a registry did not answer clearly for at least one ending, and nothing has been inferred from that. It is not a verdict about the name, and it is not evidence either way. Re-adding the candidate later will query again.
